"I can't see your friend," Wregan whispered in her ear as he got back to their table. Carnation nodded at the young man.

"Do you think she attended the party?"

"I'm not sure..." Wregan shrugged his shoulders. She's Wregan's date today, as they've already agreed, and she's wearing the red dress the young man bought her. Just like her, Wregan wore a red tuxedo with a floral pattern. She hadn't seen Luca and his fiancée yet because they had just arrived at the party. Carnation had earlier greeted Farkas, who was carrying his child and Lizette was beside him. Her friend no longer lives in her house. When Lizette came home from the island, she just took her belongings and said goodbye to her. Carnation suspects that Lizette lives in Farkas' house now.
