Chapter One Hundred- Seven

“Roth, did you go to the company yesterday?” Tristan asked, his eyes not leaving Roth’s face for a second. Roth stood up right at that question. From the angle that Tristan was at, he got a clear view of the movement in Roth’s throat as he swallowed saliva.

Then he nodded, but he had to clear his throat before speaking, “Yes, Tristan, where else would I go?” Roth let out a dry and weak chuckle.

Tristan looked at him for a while, trying to search for something on his face, then he too, nodded, that hurt look of betrayal evident in his eyes like he was expecting a different answer, as Roth looked back at him with confusion.

Tristan pulled out his phone from his pocket and flashed that video that someone had taken of Roth in that bar and uploaded online, in front of his face, “Don’t bother coming up with any more lies to cover this one.” Tristan’s voice seemed to be breaking at the end, but he tightly pursed his lips together, glaring at Roth with red eyes.

And Roth? His whole world
