Chapter Twenty Three

For a brief second, their eyes met. The green of his eyes with the dark of the man before him.

And then the man before him quickly tore his gaze away, he picked up the phone and handed it to Tristan.

Their fingers brushed and for some reason, Tristan’s heart skipped a beat.

The intervenor’s thumb lingered at the back of his palm a little longer before it softly brushed across it, such that Tristan felt tingles in his whole body. The organ between his legs skipped a beat.

And then the man pulled away, took a few steps backwards and disappeared into the crowd, leaving Tristan in a state of trance.

There was only one man on the planet that had that kind of effect on him.

“Roth,” Tristan whispered between his lips.

His hands were shaking as he pocketed his phone, and he stared into the crowd in which Roth had just disappeared. He had just met Roth, without knowing that he was meeting Roth.
