Looking up at my mate, I raised my hand to touch his chin, "I thought you weren't around. When did you get back?" I try to change the topic? Try to get my mind off from feeling down. I don't like the emotion that comes from being dejected.

My mind went back to Alexa's words on what had transpired between the two of them in the past and couldn't help but smile. If someone doesn't have any idea of their past and personality saw them right now, would find it difficult to believe anyone that told them about it.

Striding to the center of the room, I sat down on the floor and close my eyes and let go of everything that has been bothering me. It took me some time to find, but when I finally did, I felt refreshed and in sync with everything around me. I could feel the energy surging through me and around me. I felt light weighted as I do the hand gesture and summoned my shield out from within me to my hands. Opening my eyes, I saw the hues of the shield surrounding me and spread out my hands to spread out the shield to cover the entire room. I smile in excitement as I see how surprised my mate was looking at the shield.

After some minutes of letting them have their fill of fun, I told them to calm down before opening my eyes. They scan through the room before landing first on my mate, who was gazing at me with mixed expressions I could not decipher completely. Too tired to stand on my own, I leaned back against him and closed my eyes, enjoying the feel of his hands on my body as they roam everywhere, removing all the clothing I had on down to my undergarments. Completely naked before him, he stepped slightly aside with me still somehow leaning on him and turned on the faucet, letting out steamy water into the bathtub, then he filled it up with all the essentials for bathing before turning me around to face him. Pecking my lips once more, he said, “let’s go.” *** Walking into the dungeon, the first thing that hit me was the pungent smell coming from within the walls. I didn’t or would I say wasn’t expecting it, but because I was determined to see Micaela and thought to myself that it’s also living beings that are placed here and watches over the prisoners, I Just had to force myself to adjust to it. Moved by her tears, I leaned forward and hug her, letting her cry her fill out while soothing her. I patted her on the back and stood by her to calm down before I released her. Gasping for air, she responded with much difficulty, “Y… Y… Your Highness.” I reached for her palms and stroked them in a reassuring rhythm. “I’m here Micaela. Speak to me when you are ready. She lowered her head in dejection, not speaking a word, and I watched her patiently as I wait for her to make the first move to communicate with me after stating that. A little while later, she finally raised her head and glanced me in the eye with tears flowing down hers.
