She went into her room and Linda still hadn't returned. She was thankful in a way, she was exhausted, it was one in the morning and she had classes in the morning. She stared at the

pile of boxes and bags with the boutique's labels stamped on them. It would take her a while to put them all away, she would leave it until morning. She stripped off her clothes and crawled into bed without even bothering to put on pajamas. She had a feeling Linda wouldn't be home tonight either. She immediately drifted off to sleep.

“That went well,” Jason said from the front seat.

“So far,” Lucas answered.

“Julian will watch her for the rest of tonight and tomorrow while you rest.”

“Excellent.” Lucas sighed and looked out the window,

“Let's hope the rest of the week goes this well.”

“She's not used to this attention Lucas.”

“I know. It may be too much too soon, but I need her to have no reason to turn back. I need her to understand my love for her and have it returned.”
