“Your Majesty, we just could not understand the idea of choosing a Crown Princess rather than a Crown Prince.” Viscount Morata started to speak about his opinion.

“Women are meant to be managing the house, doing household chores, and attending tea parties and banquets. They exist to assist their husband after doing all the external work. Should we not be worried about our wives if they could handle such responsibilities like the whole Empire? They are weak in nature and they must do the things they should do.”

Many nobles approved of Viscount Morata’s claim as it was supplemented by other nobles’ opinions, agreeing to the idea that it must be a Crown Prince not a Crown Princess. However, there are also nobles who spoke their minds.

“I believe that gender is not a qualified reason to judge a person by their responsibility,” said Count Sebastian. “I also believe that one person is capable of doing something bigger regardless of their gender.” He added.
