Chapter Nineteen: Hellhole

I wake up laying on Jackson’s sofa, I look up rubbing my eyes to see I had a white blanket placed over me which did make me smile. Jackson must have not wanted to wake me up, I begin to look around, but I couldn’t see him anywhere. The board with the map was still where it was last time, in red ink sat writing but before I could begin to read what it says, I hear noise from what I’m guessing is the kitchen.

Jackson was playing music where I could hear him singing, I shake my head sitting up more before a memory starts to fill my head. When I went upstairs the night my dad was taken and my life changed forever, I heard him singing in the kitchen whilst cooking. This does make me look down with a sigh a little, maybe if I had waited in the kitchen a little longer, I could have helped.

Before I could dwell on that thought any longer, the singing gets closer and in seconds, a happy looking Jackson stood by the door holding food and wearing an apron.
