Emma’s phone continued to ring, disrupting her thoughts. Frustrated, she answered the call as she stepped out of her car, standing in front of the green building that housed Gray's office. She recognized the voice on the other end—it was Rebecca, a tenant in her mother's house.

"What's going on, Rebecca?" Emma asked, her tone laced with annoyance.

Rebecca hesitated before speaking. "I thought you should know, Amelia hasn't been answering my calls, and there have been some strangers at the house."

Emma's concern grew as she listened. Strangers at her mother's house? What could be happening? She knew she couldn't face this situation alone, so she hurriedly made her way towards the building, her pink heels clicking against the concrete with determination.
