Chapter Fourteen

I played the scene out over and over in my head. Seeing the look on Athena's face. It was betrayal. It was her plan but she also didn't know that this was happening behind her back. I didn't want her to know. It would make things unreal and I didn't want her to stress everything out. Her face was covered in bruises and dried blood. Her clothes were also torn. She was skinny and tired. I feel like I screwed up really bad when she left. Because who knew if I was ever going to see her again. The Goddess was satisfied. She thinks she's won the war. "I almost feel bad for her." She had gotten out of the bed and started to dress. "It's not funny. This isn't happening again." I said as I dressed. "Oh please, you weren't complaining at all. Now, why don't you come back." She came from behind me and tried to hug me. But all I did was move away. "Where do you think you're going?" She asked.
