Chapter 26 - Bonnie Walton

Bonnie POV

“Come, you need to rest,” Peter says as he opens the suite’s door and we step inside. I have six stitches on my left cheek. I feel drained, feels like I have been awake for days, but it hasn’t even been twenty-four hours since I woke up.

“I’ll help you out of the dress,” Peter says as I take his jacket off and he helps me to undress. My face now hurts and even talking is painful. I walk to the bed and climb up without even putting pajamas on. Peter closes the curtains and I close my eyes, ready for sleep.

The medication they gave me is strong and is knocking me off. All I want to do is sleep. I close my eyes and allow the sleep to take me into dreamland. Maybe I’ll have a wonderful dream that will push away the memories of last night.

I don’t know what time it is, but I open my eyes slowly and it’s still dark, but I can hear Peter talking to someone. I move onto the bed, but he is not
