"Yes, but ... not to the point of hurting them, just to subdue them by taking away their pins," Riley explained.

Alen, hearing this, frowned and immediately asked, "Pins? What pins do you mean?"

Riley replied, "Pins worn by some future soldiers."

Warren Clay, still confused, asked again, "Some? Are you saying that not all future soldiers will have the pin?"

Riley nodded, "Yes. There are 100 of us, which means that 50 people will wear the pins that can be captured by other groups."

"While the other 50 people don't wear the pins," Riley continued as he looked around, hoping that his group mates understood his short explanation.

Alen nodded and burst out laughing.

Warren gave the young man a strange look, while another prospective soldier commented, "You can laugh under such dire circumstances?"

"You're not crazy, are you? I don't want our group to lose just because of one crazy person," another prospective soldier continued.
