The following day, Beatrice woke up without Nate in their room. She walked down to the kitchen and saw that the maids were standing outside, and their expressions were unreadable.

"Good morning. What's with those faces?" Beatrice asked and was about to enter the kitchen when the head maid stopped her, so she suddenly frowned.

"Ma'am Margarett, Sir Nate was inside, and he informed us not to let you in the kitchen." The maid said, which made her forehead frown.

"Why?" She asked. She was so clueless and, at the same time, curious about what Nate's doing in the kitchen. "I'm thirsty, I need to get water," Beatrice said. The head maid shook her head.

"I will get your water, Ma'am." The head maid said and signaled one of the maids to go inside. Beatrice rolled her eyes and walked back to the table and waited for her water, she also noticed that there was no prepared food on the table, so she turned her head again to the head maid.
