Chapter 56

The butler's head whirled around and he bowed.

“Young Master,” he greeted his tone differential.

Ethan recognized him, he was called Uncle George.

“If you're going to call me your ‘Young Master’ then maybe you should treat my wife with the appropriate courtesy,” he said icily.

“Young Master… your father is doing this for your sake. He —”

“I don't care whether he did it for me or his reputation. Now get out.”

Uncle George opened his mouth but said nothing; he knew the relationship between father and son would not be so easily mended. With the money hand he retreated from the cafe.

“Why are you here?” Jane asked.
