Chapter 31

The man covered Jade's mouth while dragging her to a secluded place. Jade struggled, but he knocked her down with a punch.

"What do you want?" Jade coldly confronted the masked man in front of her, her heart pounding. She hadn't expected that she’d be unlucky enough to run into a robber.

"Do you want money? I can give it to you," she said, observing her surroundings while trying to negotiate with the robber.

Unfortunately, the area they were in was very remote, so there was hardly anyone on the road. Jade reached into her bag and quickly pressed "1" on her phone.

"How dare you call for help, b*tch!" the robber sneered before snatching Jade's phone and quickly hanging up.

Jade's heart sank, and she hastily took off. Unfortunately, she felt someone pull her by the hair after just a few steps. She struggled desperately, accidentally grabbing the man's mask.

As their eyes met, both of them were stunned. Jade widened her eyes at the man. "It's you?"
