Having survived the battle together, Elio and Alicia were now comrades in arms They looked at each other and exchanged a grin before they burst out laughing.

The next second, Alicia’s face flushed. "Hey, what are you laughing at?"

"Nothing. You’re a pretty good fighter. Thank you for your help," Elio said sincerely.

"You're being sarcastic, aren't you?"

"Not at all, I really mean it…"

Before Elio could finish his sentence, a siren sounded in the distance. Naturally, he did not want to get into trouble, so he turned to her and said, "Let's get out of here before we have to make a statement or something."

Alicia had the same thought. "Get in my car."

"You get inside, and I'll pick up your double hooks first. It's always best to be careful."

Elio was really meticulous, Alicia realized. He did not want the police to take her weapons as evidence. She nodded and got into her car to start the engine.

Seconds later, Elio rejoined her after grabbing the double hooks and stuffing them
