Somewhere Special

Zaya POV

Luna Ariel and I continued to talk in the steam room for almost two hours. She tried to cram in some of the most basic things to know and the who’s who. It was her way of making sure I didn’t get into any trouble by saying the wrong thing or trusting the wrong person. When we finished talking, she decided to stay behind and get a massage.

I showered and put my clothes back on. When I came out of the women’s locker room, the tall thin girl from before was no longer in her spot behind the desk. She was standing near the window staring at something outside.

Her attention was stuck on whatever she was viewing outdoors. So much so, that she didn't see me leaving. When I opened the door, I caught the scent of my mate. I knew he was lurking outside somewhere. It was so strong that he could have been standing right in front of me.
