Alexander's mind was torn between defending Cesilia and protecting Casandra. He didn't want to lose either of his wives, and he couldn't understand when he had started to fear losing Casandra as well as Cesilia. Casandra had become an essential part of his life, filling the void left by Cesilia.

As he saw Casandra crying in her room, Alexander felt overwhelmed with emotions. He knelt in front of her, wanting to comfort her and make things right.

"Sir, I want this marriage to end. Please let me work here for any salary you decide, so I can repay all the money you spent on my father's medical bills. Even if I doubt I can pay it off in my lifetime, it's still better than being a paid wife like this. I don't want to be oppressed and humiliated by Mrs. Cesilia.
