Axel thought about reese and he wanted to see her, he wanted to hear her voice, he picked up his phone and dialled her number.

“Please pick up.” he muttered as he waited for her to pick the phone, but he was directed to her voice mail.

His stomach sank when he remembered what the bartender had told him about the two men who harassed her at the bar. He had to do something about it, he thought.

He was at the bar now, standing. He had a hunch they would be here; he knew from what the bartender had told him that they were predators, and one thing you could count on predators to do was be at their hunting grounds.

He looked around to see a tall, blonde man with a hefty build and his short friend with the black biker jacket. He bet they had matching tattoos, and just the thought of that made him smile.
