"Shall we?" Axel asked when they finished eating, and Reese nodded her head.

Rising to his feet, he started walking towards her to help her up, but before he got to where she was sitting, she sprung up.

He scratched his temple. "I was going to help you stand up."

"As you can see, I am not disabled." She said as she started walking towards the exit.

He drew his brows together as he watched her slip through the exit, wondering why she was so angry at him for fighting for her. She was supposed to be fucking grateful!

Blowing out a frustrated breath, he quickly trudged out of the room and followed her before she took a cab and went home by herself. He knows Reese. And he knows she’s capable of doing that.

"Reese." He called when he finally caught up with her outside the restaurant.

"Yes, Axel?" She muttered without bothering to look at him.

"Stop this." He groaned.

Without bothering to reply, she sauntered to where his driver had parked the black limousine.
