Understanding Axel is an impossible feat. One moment he is so kind to her, and the next he becomes so cold.

They had just arrived at his house, and she was wondering if he would let her stay there peacefully or chase her away with his attitude like he always does.

"Call that guy and ask him to bring your things here." Axel told her as they walked towards the front door of his mansion, his arm wrapped around her waist.

"I would go and get my things myself." She spoke quietly.

"Bold of you to assume that I am going to allow you to go back to his house."

"What?" Reese asked, confused, as she swung her head to the side to look at him.

"You are not going back there, Reese."

"But—" She tried to protest, but he cut her off.

"Unless you really want us to end this." He said, as they slipped through the door.

Eleanor was the first person they saw when they entered, and she had a big smile on her face.

"Welcome sir." She beamed, then darted her gaze at Reese. "Hi, Ms. McBride."
