Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Later that day.

“Nothing is going on… I just came home. Oh I am starving.” Jennifer said walking to the kitchen. Her father followed her around.

“Jennifer, I've known you all your life, what is going on?” John asked as Jennifer opened the fridge.

“Okay,” Jennifer said as she took out a bottle of water and placed it on the table. “I just came home to get some documents.”

“Oh, I thought maybe you're here to tell me if you guys decided on the official wedding day.” John scoffed.

Jennifer looked at the bottle of water.

“I don't think there'll be a wedding.” Jennifer mumbled and her father looked at her confused.

“What?”

“I don't think there'll be a wedding, dad!” She said loudly and harshly. “We fought okay?!”

Her father laughed as if she said something funny.

“What?” She asked with a confused look.

“Are you already pregnant?” She coughed to her father's question especially when she thought about last night.
