Jade could feel the anger starting to build up in her. There was just so much that was going on around her that she couldn't actually feel anything but anger. It was an overwhelming wave that, when he walked in, he actually could feel coming off of her.

After she was done getting ready, he helped her get to the car. Then he went and got the infant and put him in the car seat, and then loaded him up into the car as well. It had taken a little maneuvering, but he had managed to get the base of the car seat in the car, and it was studied. He was actually quite happy with himself. For a little while, it had actually seemed like he wasn't going to be able to get the car seat in strapped properly. Closer to the house and he could see a huge pile of stuff that was in front of it. He was furious, and she looked absolutely mortified. After everything was brought back into the house and his female doctor friend Diana had also talked to him and her privately about different things that could happen and what she should do to make sure that she takes care of herself and nothing does happen, he felt better. Over the next few hours, the dude really didn't move that much. She had pretty much made it home on the couch and was able to do very little for herself or for the baby, let alone try to take care of the house. It wasn't that he had expected her to either. Somehow she thought that she would be able to get up and do something, but she really couldn't. she had started to feel dizzy, and he realized that she probably needed to eat. He wasn't going to subject her to cooking today, so he went ahead and ordered some dinner. Jonathan didn't remember exactly when the last time she had fed the baby was. However, he knew that she knew that her sleep. They had already discussed what happened if she was dead to the world and the baby needed to be fed. She didn't really care about being exclusively breastfeeding, so if the baby woke up, he could easily just give him a bottle. Right now, making sure that both of them were eating what they were supposed to and doing what they needed to do seemed more important than one thing over another.She seemed really happy about one of the things that they managed to salvage from the pile was a very expensive breast pump. So if need be, she would be able to attach it and then get what she needed for the baby so they could put it in the bottle. Turn the TV on and began to flip through the channels with the baby in his arms. He knew that he could put him down in any of the different vessels that they had, but for right now, it just seemed like it was the most natural thing to do. Just to hold the baby close to him and at least let him feel that somebody was there. It's what they would be encouraging in the hospital.And the baby didn't seem to mind too much. Every once in a while, he'd wiggle or squirm, but it was just to get readjusted into a new position. Soon he had him propped up against his chest as they both were watching the TV. The next few days were quiet, and Jonathan was preparing to go to work. It was already late in the evening, and luckily he already knew that the baby had been fed a few times and that there was a bottle next to her, so if things got to be a little bit rough while he was gone, she would be set up. She had only been taking over-the-counter medication for the past two days. Though the pain was still there, it wasn't as great as it had been. The incision seemed to be closing well, and there didn't seem to be any signs of infection, so he was OK with leaving her.
