Rereading the previous chapter

Daylen hung around the garden. At the spot where his mother lay him. Staring at the stars. Selene wasn't in the stars she was somewhere far. She was the light of his life now his sky had gone dark.

She was the only good thing that he still had in his life. Now she too was gone and he was clueless about how to proceed with his life.

Daylen couldn't come to terms with the fact that she gave his life so he could live. He wasn't aware his life was in danger, clueless about what was going on. He fell prey to the claws of death.

Death touched the one person that knew how to love him. He felt empty.

Her essence was in him. Daylen could feel his mother in himself a reminder that she was gone and it was because of him. He had made a damn mistake by leaving the silver palace from the start. It was that stupid decision that set the course of his fate to where he was.

Daylen wished it was worth it. To feel worthy of his mother's sacrifice but he wasn't. All of what transpired could have been
