Chapter 2: The Vanishment of the Kingdom

The whole grand hall in the kingdom was in an uproar upon hearing the high priest's declaration of the princess's fate. Everyone was euphoric and glorious to finally see the treasure that they had been waiting for thousand years.

"Our goddess Diana had heard our plea!" Queen Ayana said in a tearful smile.

She was delighted to find out that the light was being conceived in her own womb and now she was born and been cuddled in her own loving arms.

"Yes, my dear! We should prepare for a banquet of thanksgiving for the goddess of the moon!" King Silas announced.

Every white wolf was excited about the sudden arrival of the banquet. The ladies were on cloud nine for these would be the perfect time to meet their mates.

The men were also beaming with a smile and couldn't control their wolf urge to start looking for their partners.

"By our king command, a banquet will be held under the moonlight in the kingdom!" the high priest announced.

While they were in ruckus for a glorious occasion, the royal family and the high priest secretly left the grand hall including Rubio who scanned the whole place first before he closed the main door with his own eyes.

Rubio possessed the power of telekinesis. He could move objects by his mind. Aside from that, he was also studying the power of telepathy in secret.

Since his uncle had smelled that there was a spook in the kingdom, he commanded his own nephew to start learning how to read minds of which the young lad agreed at once.

The royal family and the high priest thought they had kept their disappearance in the banquet safe, however, Rubio was blinded to see one of the wolve's pack sharp eyes. Anton from the north clan saw their disappearance in the smoke when Rubio shut the wide door. His ordinary black eyes turned to wolf green as he gave the royal family a murderous glare.

When he turned around to his clan and they saw his green sharp stare, they sneered at once. They already knew what to do. Little by little his clan left one by one. Till his wife Amber and his twins, Cara and Mara were the only ones left along with a few white wolves in the north clan.

Inside of the huge fluffy cloud, the royal family went to a cave protected by well-skilled loyal members of the pack. They had been the guardians of the kings and the queens including their offspring for more than a thousand years now.

"Your majesty! You came!" Jiro, the oldest yet the most powerful royal guard greeted the king.

"Jiro, my newly born daughter is the treasure. The high priest has read her fate. She needs to be safeguarded for all of us. For the pack!" King Silas explained as he stared deeply at Jiro, his childhood friend.

Jiro gazed at the sleeping child in the queen's arm. A light smile appeared at the corner of his lips when he saw the princess pout her cute lips and raise her tiny fist. She seemed to understand what was going on.

"I will protect her with all my might and I am willing to sacrifice my last breath for her!" he said as he placed his hand on his chest like pledging.

"Thank you, my friend!" King Silas' heartfelt thanks were giving the wolves some goosebumps.

With their strong power of kinship and connection, they could feel that something was going on in the kingdom.

"Your majesty, you should stay here. We will take care of everything in the kingdom!" Rubio suggested as he prepared to leave.

"No, Rubio! You stay and help Jiro protect Ariya and your aunt. My life is over while yours are just starting. I can't just leave the kingdom like this. What kind of a king am I if I would just watch our kingdom vanish into thin air?" King Silas gave his last command. The high priest went with him. As the fluffy cloud was getting further and further, King Silas stared at the high priest and said, "Thanks, my old friend. Everything went well!" he gave him a shallow smile.

"Silas, I am against your plan. You sacrificed your own family and your own life for the sake of our existence. I am willing to go and serve you even in the other world!" the high priest gloomily declared.

He couldn't contain his sadness that he hugged his old friend tight. The king also did the same thing. They felt like that would be their farewell hug.

As they arrived in the kingdom, the supposed to be glorious banquet became a bloody one. The vampires were everywhere sucking the blood of the white wolves in human forms. The other white wolves that transformed fast, fought with all their might.

When King Silas saw the terrifying scene, his murderous glare turned him into the biggest fiercest strongest white wolf in history. He bark-howled at the goddess of the moon to send every pack a message.

When his pack heard and saw him on top of the mountain under the moonlight, they seemed to have gotten an extraordinary strength to fight their fierce enemies.

The high priest, on the other hand, looked for a particular she-wolf. When he saw what he was looking for, he talked to her in his mind.

"Sira, protect the princess and the queen. You are the destined one to protect the remaining royal blood!" he said in his thought as he closed his eyes.

Sira who was in her transformed image halted and shook her ear like the high priest voice tickled her earlobe.

"Where is the treasure?" she asked in her mind.

"At the cave!" the high priest answered.

Upon hearing this, she slowly moved back into the darkness and when nobody was watching, she ran at full speed. She jumped in every huge rock and wide stream.

When she arrived at the cave, she summoned the guard for Jiro. Sira was Jiro's niece. "Uncle, the high priest ordered me to come here to protect the treasure!" she immediately stated.

"Get inside first!" Jiro hastily said as he summoned the guards to close the cave.

When they went inside, they saw queen Ayana and princess Ariya in the middle of a luxurious room. The cave where they were hiding was not an ordinary one but it was magical.

Outside was like a normal mountain with a secret opening but inside was a huge palace complete with everything.

"Sira, I know that the king and the kingdom are in danger now. I want to know who the mole that my husband is referring to!" Queen Ayana pleaded with Sira. The queen knelt before her for her daughter's sake.

"Sira! My daughter will never be safe here until we can't cut the root of this destruction. Please, I am begging you. Hide her away from this place. From the world of wolves and vampires. Let her live a normal and happy life. Let her stay with the humans far away from us. Let her grow up there while you protect her. This is my last summon to you. Please, protect my daughter!" Queen Ayana begged with tears flowing from her deep blue eyes as she reached her sleeping daughter to Sira.

"My queen, I promise I will protect her with all my life. When the right time comes, we will come back and take our revenge for the white wolf pack!" she gave the queen her last bow and disappeared with the princess at once.

Just after the smoke vanished, the secret passage in the cave forcibly opened and Anton and his pack emerged with a murderous stare.

"Anton, it's you!" Jiro exclaimed. He prepared his transformation as he shielded Queen Ayana behind him.

Rubio happened to leave the cave at that time to search for the precious water for the princess.

Since she couldn't drink a normal liquid, he always had to search the whole misty forest for the precious droplets.

When he went back to the cave, he panicked. The two wolves guard were drowning with their own blood and some claw prints were on the wet soil.

As he hastily went inside, Jiro was already dead. He was beheaded and his aunt, the queen was beside him. Her chest was wide open and her heart was missing.

He was so furious with what he saw that he rummaged the whole cave looking for his cousin. When he couldn't find her, he thought he had been taken away by the enemies.

He immediately transformed into a ferocious beast that was a bit shorter than the king but stronger than anyone else in the pack.

He growl-barked under the gaze of the moon goddess, Diana, and cursed her in his heart for not protecting the last pure royal blood.

With his psychokinesis power, he destroyed the forest in one snap. He cut the roots of the hundred thousand years old trees and threw them away to the kingdom.

He yelled at the stream rocks and hurled them all the way to the approaching vamps.

He was in deep enraged when his uncle emerged on his mind.

"Run! Runaway! Leave now, fight tomorrow! Your cousin is safe. She is in the hands of humans. Sira is with her!" King Silas warned.

When he heard the king's voice, a glimpse of hope lit in his dark heart. He dashed off like a lightning to the cave and took the queen's body. They then disappeared in the seam of white thick fog.

Damien, the prince of the vampires and only heir along with his army were too late to chase the fog away.

"Seek the whole land! You are not to leave anything behind!" he roared as he spoke in archaic language.

"Our prince, there's nothing left except for the corpses of the stinky wolves!" his right arm, Cassius reported while sneering.

But Damien was not delighted with his news. They didn't find the body of the queen and the treasure among the dead white wolves.

He was furious to the core that he opened his palm and a tiny fire appeared. As he slapped the air, the tiny flame burst out and it burned the whole forest down.
