Chp 14 Pt. 5 The Lycan Luna

As much as I hate the thought of leaving my mate here I need to get some work done. It’s six in the morning and Kat is still asleep in my arms. I carefully remove myself from her and push my pillow into my spot. She grabs onto it and inhales deeply. Hopefully it’ll be a good substitute while I get some work done. I plan to return before she wakes but I leave a note just in case. I hope my absence doesn’t bring on another nightmare.

I get dressed and take another look at my beautiful mate before heading to my office. I can hear staff already in the kitchen preparing breakfast for all the warriors and other staff that work in the pack house. Typically once you find a mate they settle in a house and have breakfast together, but I ensure to still feed my warriors, especially those who worked the night shift.

“I’m surprised you left your room,” Hunter teases as he enters my office.
