He won't let anything happen to Cora and Vanessa.

As long as he wants to protect them, he will be able to protect them.

"Do you really think that Daniel wants to see me again?" Vanessa asked. She wasn't sure. She wasn't sure at all. After all, she knew better that anyone else just how many mistakes she had been.
