“Calm down and just start with the beginning,” I said, sitting in front of Fotis.

Granted an invisible fucking wall was between us, but at least we could hear each other since it was quiet. Katerina and some others kept an eye on the humans bordering the coven, making sure we weren’t drawing any unnecessary attention.

Apparently Anna had found some bottles of water still intact so at least they had that for now. Fotis was a wreck, I’d never seen him like this. It was really so little time he was gone, but he was nearly a shell of himself.

“They were just so fucking cruel, to anyone. Everyone. They did experiments on humans, the house I was in, you must have killed five at least. But they were better off dead than what they were doing. One … they … they took a human man’s eyes, some kind of spell to get vision into wherever they wanted. Supposedly an offer to the blind gods. I don’t know what they were looking for, that part I couldn’t make out.
