CXXXVIII: Maya’s Fault
Maya has never been blinded by any material wealth. All she wanted was her parents, and she was happy with her simple life.
That was all that really, but the world kept testing her, and she suffered many hardships.
She could not understand what Stephanie wanted more from her. Could they not just pretend that both of them did not exist.
Yes, a part of Maya wanted to ask Stephanie why she was causing trouble with her. But, she still preferred not to see her again.
Just as Maya was deep in her thought, Stephanie screamed like a lunatic that did not care that they were in a public place.
“But that’s just it! Alexander backed off our wedding! He just decided one day that he didn’t want to marry me. How could he change his mind like that? I refuse to believe that you didn’t have anything to do with it!” Stephanie kept yelling. She was completely devoid of the poise that she had most of the time Maya had sawed her before.
