This girl is a ‘nobody.’

Smiling at the faces around the table, Genevieve set a plate of pancakes on the dining table and then pulled out a chair, sitting between Noah and Leo.

It had been one month since she had gotten laid off from the Drunk In Manhattan project, and since then, she had been trying to adjust to her new life as a stay-at-home Wife and mother, and so far, she liked it, even though a part of her was still grieving her dead dreams.

“Thanks, Mommy!” Leo said, beaming at her.

Her hands reached for his hair, and Genevieve couldn't stop the smile that tugged at her lips when he leaned into her touch as she raffled his already messy curls with her fingers. “Be good at school today, okay?”

“I am always a good boy,” Leo said solemnly, looking up at her through dark lashes.

Everyone laughed at his cute remark, and Leo's smile reached his eyes, a big, innocent grin that melted their hearts.
