Eighty Four

May’s POV

“Tell me why you don’t want to go for the auction in Love Castle, May,” Emily said, following me into the café and joining the queue. We were at a different café downtown, but close to my house, because we were going jogging.

Honest to God, I wasn’t interested to go jogging, but Emily had dragged me into it, and I just couldn’t say no when she had arrived at my house so early this morning.

It was a cold morning, and all I could think about was getting a hot cup of coffee into my system, not talking about some auction she wantedto talk about. She had been bugging about it since I told her about it.

My mistake, though.

Don’t get me wrong; it was for a good cause, but it was also not a must I attended. The fact that Ellen had said we would be auction off for a date amused me though, a date with whoever won my hand at the bid or auction or whatever it was called.
