Asher’s POV

This was a major fuck up, really, and I could tell that it was going to take more time to convince May to come back home. I shouldn't have told her about the board and the situation with them, because now it seem like I was only back to get her because of that.

“Can you just leave now?” she asked me, “I’m sure you’re done saying what you came for.” She said.

I wasn’t anywhere near done, not at all, so I shook my head. “Not in the least, May. We’re still talking.” I said, looking at her to the door behind her, my mind going back to the man I saw out there, the one that had opened the door for me and the one May had referred to as honey.

Not once since we were married did she refer to me as anything but my name, “Ash!” and that was it.

“I need you to come back home, May. We are still married anyway, so it wouldn’t make any difference whether or not you live here.” I said, my voice coming out as a plea, one that sounded the way I was feeling.
