15: ARE YOU LEAVING ME FOR HIM?!

The

scene of Kaliyah waking up after a tumultuous night felt oddly familiar to her.

Once again, she found herself in a room with a strong, masculine scent that

undoubtedly belonged to an alpha. And there he was, the man whose essence

matched the fragrance, seated on a chair at the foot of the bed, gazing at her

with intent, dark eyes.

She

couldn’t help but wonder at times, “What might be going through his mind as he

gazes at me? Doesn’t he ever tire of just watching me?”

Little

did she know that this Alpha had patiently observed her while she slept and

“I know

you were trying to provoke me into transforming,” she began, not bothering to

get up from the bed or avert her gaze from him.

arched a brow, leaning forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Are you

talking about last night when I supposedly took advantage of you?”

His

words triggered memories that flushed her cheeks for some unknown reason.

by her girlish reaction, Ruan grinned and shook
