Kaliyah was already dripping with sweat, as the fire in the furnace burned so fiercely. However, Ruan was still shaking so badly. Even though the windows and doors were sealed properly, not letting any cold air to seep in. Yet, it wasn’t enough.

She went beside him, holding his hand. And she was surprised by how cold he was.

“How can he still be this cold?” she wondered nervously, scared of how freezing he was.

His skin was so pale, even his lips that were usually hot and reddish that used to kiss her lost its life. Looking at how bad he looked right now, she debated in her mind whether to call the doctor.
