Chapter 31

Aria

I stretched my hand to Mecael's side with my eyes still closed. I patted twice. Empty. I open my eyes and smile. Mecael was gone. I wanted him to come back but his absence would do me good.

I jump out of bed humming to myself. I spread the sheets then the covers. I run a quick bath and wrap myself in a silk robe. I would dress later after the preparation.

Yes,today was the day. Today I'd tell Mecael that he had proven that I could trust him. That I'd learnt how to trust him. When he comes back I'll tell him that maybe I could also learn how to love him.

I take the basket of red petals from the closet. I spread them across the room as I twirled and danced to no song in particular. I used the petals to make a huge heart shape on the bed. I stood far from it admiring my work. It was beautiful.

I twirled once again going to the closet. I picked out my shoes and a red dress. I went to the dressing table to do my makeup. Hot and sexy was the theme for today.
