Evelyn sighed as she closed the book. "Finally, I can read without stuttering, " The girl said with a small smile. 

Scarlett chuckled. "I told you, you'll be able to do it in a week, " She said, putting the book back on the shelf. "How's your training with Josh?"  

Evelyn sat up straight as the former luna mentioned training. "I learned how to throw knives on moving things," The omega smiled. "Also, Josh said I'm improving on self-defense. Yesterday, I knocked him down while practicing," The girl beamed. 

"That's great," Scarlett couldn't help but smile at the excited omega. "Keiran still doesn't know, right? " 

Evelyn's smile faltered. "N-No, he doesn't, " Even the thought of the alpha finding out about it made a shiver run down her spine.
