An unexpected Outcome

“I would run after him if I were you,” Kal whispered to Geran who seemed not to pay any attention to him when he heard him speak.

It was already obvious that he had signaled to his men and was ready to dash away, the moment he watched King Horansi signal to his knights to help Darun up and lead him back to his quarters.

I won’t let you go no matter what, Geran thought, watching the King announce the end of the ceremony and turning around to leave the next instant.

“Kal…Geran,” King Locan ordered the next instant, calling them to his side with an urgent tone in his voice, one that instantly froze Geran in place for a second before he got moving in the next second, blatantly ignoring the king’s summons.

Still, he sent a simple glance at Kal.

“Cover for me,” one that Kal instantly understood and nodded in agreement to.

The next moment Geran was outside using his sense of smell to the best of his ability while trying to sniff out Darun’s whereabouts.
