My eyes opened, unable to stay closed any longer as they were assaulted by the sun, quite ungraciously if you asked me. The only saving grace to the situation was the fact that the delicious smell of coffee was like a balm to my soul, the rich aroma invading my nostrils and driving me to get out of bed.
