When he reached the council hall, the council elders were waiting for his arrival.

Carson walked towards him, bowing down slowly, he smiled at the king, his smile was genuine, filled with assurance, he understood the phase the king was passing through.

"What is it, why that smile."

Blade asked, staring at his second in command. He wasn't fond of receiving smiles unless the one that his mate gave him all the time, gawd, how he missed her smile.

Quickly he waved his head, he was thinking about her again.

"Just a welcoming gesture my lord, may I present you to the council."

Carson said, leading the king to his position, while the elders of the council stood up and bowed down to him.

"I am already in the council. Seems you don't know how we work again, my lack of presence must have affect your memory."

Blade said, glaring at him for a while, every fucking thing pissed him off, he wasn't ready to play games with anyone.

Why would he say in 5 hours if she’s not bed ridden then he would choose a mate? He knows she’s bedridden and hasn’t woken up!? C’mon Blade! Unless it was Aloric who said that but that’s not how it sounded.
