“We all know you can't save yourself. We need—”

A gasp escaped from the mouth of the elder and the vampires around when he was lifted from the ground by unseen hands.

“What are you doing to me?” Alarmed, the vampire tried to get himself down, but he couldn't.

He struggled on air, yet got no result.

“So, what were you saying about having a queen who can't defend herself?” I flex my fingers and smirked.

It was satisfying to see the shocked expression on their faces.

“Let me down! What did you do?” The elder glared at me.

He looked like he would have shot me with his eyes had they been guns.

“Why should I do that?” I beamed at him before I turned to face the others. “Is there anyone else who wants to know if I'm capable of protecting myself?”

I flicked my thumb on my index fingers.

Instantly, the empty chairs in the throne room rose from their positions.

A hush fell in the entire throne as they watched with rapture.

I closed my fists, and slowly opened them.
