02: Noel

Noel Anthony.

"Maybe, there is a way." Noel uttered to his assistant.

In his hands was a report for a new building that he had bought outside of the city. It wasn't a bit far from the border and then, most travellers stop there.

The restaurant was going bankrupt and the owner needed someone to help stop the place from going bankrupt. That was when Noel came into the pictures.

He is man that is interested in building a lot of buildings and then, he put his people as the employees. It was his way of helping them mingle with people more.

He always believe that humans helped the generation a few years back, they helped the Vampires clans without even knowing. They helped him at his lowest, helped his people and also, helped him take down their enemies over the years.

He owes them big one. "Yes, we can expand the place when you buy it. Maybe build a larger kitchen, store room and add more tables. The last time I went there, people were standing outside, waiting for others to leave." His assistant, Gaby said.

Noel used his left hand to push back his sleek hair. "I like it. I believe we should go and check it later. Any words from James?" He asked, keeping the file across the room.

He will sign it when he returns from the restaurant. He needs to know the state the restaurant is in. "Not yet. He hasn't called since yesterday night." Gaby responded.

Noel nodded his head before dismissing Gaby. He was still in his sleeping robes and there was trail of spit by the side of his mouth, which he didn't even care about.

The alarm woke him up around seven in the morning for his vitamins and he went back when he took the drugs, without exercising. Gaby barged into the room, waking him up and dragging him out of the room, saying Noel needs to exercise to keep fits.

For a 199 years old Vampire, there are things he needs to do to be fit and healthy, which is what Gaby is helping him do. "Fuck." He grumbled standing up and he went straight to his room.

He got rid of his clothings, stepping straight into the shower and letting letting the cold water hits his spine, making him moan in process. For a vampire, bathing with hot water kills them internally, hence he hardly baths with cold water, no matter the situation.

His hand grabbed the sponge from the rack and used it to scrub out the dirt from his skin from his body. It didn't take him more than ten minutes and he was done.

While at it, he washed his hair again then he wrapped a towel around his waist and one on his hair to stop water from dripping. When he went back to the room, the bed was already made and the curtains were lifted up to a certain level, allowing the sun light to brighten the room more.

He smiled at how fresh and minty the room smelled, making his way to the closet. One thing with him is that he is obsessed with black.

You would find only a few colors in the closet. And today is colorful day for him so he decided to opt for a navy blue shirt and a grey pants.

He stayed, staring at his reflections in the mirror and when he was satisfied, he left for the dining area. Different varieties of food were arranged on the dining, and so sad, he is the only one to eat and he won't be able to finish it all. "Good morning master." The maids greeted, bowing down.

He waved his hands, taking a seat and motioning for one of them to serve him. He pointed at the French bread toast with honey drizzled on it, coffee and then bacon.

The rest of the food doesn't fancy him enough, not that he doesn't like them, just that he is not in the mood to have them. "Do you need anything master?" The girl that served him asked.

He nodded his head, dismissing them. He hardly speaks to the maids, unless it is about something serious. He was half way through with his food when he remembered something and called for the maid nearby. "Get me Gaby." He requested, knowing Gaby will be around the kitchen stuffing his mouth with the food.

Gaby returned a minute after the maid had left to call him. "You called for me, King Noel." Gaby uttered as he reached close to Noel.

"Yes, do we still have blood in the bank?" He asked, regarding the blood they collect and keep in the blood banks for future use.

The Vampires were stopped from attacking any human and taking blood from them, except that person is a threat and an enemy of their generations. "Not really much, but it will take us two weeks before we need more." Gaby replied.

Noel let out a breathe, cutting from the bacon and stuffing his mouth with it. He took his time, chewing it before swallowing it. "I guess it is time we pay The Pages a visit because they left me no choice." He told Gaby.

The Pages is an organisation of humans that he had signed treatise with but those people in the organisation decided to betray Noel. He acted blind to all their deeds but now since he needs more blood to store in the blood bank, he will go for them.

"I will prepare the car." Gaby mumbled before he rushed out of the building and headed towards the underground parking lot.

Noel dusted his shirt, standing up and headed for the office. He will just pick a file regarding the Pages and then meet Gaby outside. After meeting with the Pages, he will then go and check the out restaurant, then make plans for it. "A surprise card will be needed too." He uttered to no one in particular, picking up another file

To say the Pages were terrified when they saw Noel Anthony himself, in their mansion. His face alone, stirred a commotion in their mind not to talk of when their leader sighted the files in his hand. "What brought you here master?" The leader asked, with a very terrified voice.

"That's not how you treat your guest, especially when that guest is a king." Noel snarled, taking a seat.

He dropped the files on the table, pushing it towards the leader. "You know what I hate the most? Traitors that go back on their words and then act like nothing happened." Noel told him.

The leader fell on the ground, with his body shaking in fear and terror. All the guards of the Pages around them fell to the ground as their leader. "What are you doing? Get up, all of you." He ordered.

They did as he asked them to, but her body was still shaking. "Well, you will pay for it of course, and the hard way." He smirked.

Noel is a man that hates beating around the bushes, when he wants something or do something, he goes straight to the point, hitting the bull in the eyes. "I will leave you alive but, I am leaving here with some scapegoats. I don't care who and what they are, I need thirty of your people." He stopped.

"No, seventy of your problem. That will do and now, I don't want to wait long here because I have things to do."

He motioned for Gaby to come forward before he whispered into his ears. "Have them transferred to the base."

He watched with glittering eyes as the leader rushed out, to get those people. If he had requested for hundred or more, he knows the Pages will be able to provide them. They are actually human traffickers but from his instructions which the Page clearly understood, he was to bring from his people, not those he had the intention of using to earn more money.

His phone rang, he passed it to Gaby as he was so engrossed in watching more the leader was assemblying people together. Gaby later returned, passing the phone to him. "It was James. They just passed the border and might be taking a stop at the same restaurant we will be heading to." Gaby informed him.

"Then, I think I should surprise a young Aurora right? I will love to see how she will act when she sees me. You know I love it when I see people in anger and agony." He smirked.

A sociopath or a psycho as some people called him but he doesn't care, there was nothing they could do to him when he derive his happiness from their sadness and how terrified they look.

Gaby nodded his head, moving ahead of him as Noel had a last word with the Pages and the sound of a blasting gun resonated the place. "Damn, why did you do that?" Gaby asked, because he of all people didn't dictate that was what Noel had been planning.

"He deserves it, that was for betraying me. Make sure that all of them are transferred to the base." He repeated again, opening the passager seat and letting Gaby drive to the outlet of Atlanta.

He hummed along the song playing in the radio and remembering those days that he was still stupid and couldn't fight on his own. That was why the werewolves looked down on him, tried to use his weakness as their advantage. But not anymore because he had vowed to wipe their entire generations with his own hands and fangs.

"Do you think she would recognise me?" He asked Gaby.

Gaby turned to look at him, then faced the road as he drove. "Who wouldn't? You have been her enemy ever since that day and she was trained to kill you, then why won't she?" Gaby replied.

Noel chuckled, looking forward to meeting Aurora, after so many years. Because for someone to be trained to kill him alone, they surely have a lot of guts to do that. The Alpha alone isn't a match for him, not to talk of his naive daughter.
