52: Aurora

Before.

Aurora couldn’t close her eyes that night, she waited to hear the footsteps of her father walking into the house but she didn’t.

Maybe she is still naive as her mother had said but yet, she couldn’t force herself to believe it. Her mother isn’t pregnant right?

When her father is always away, then how can she be? A question that kept on roaming about on her mind, and she knew the only person that has an answer to it is her father, so she’d rather deprive herself of sleep and wait until he returns, she wouldn’t mind doing that. Just so she could avoid issues that will later resurface.

Aurora turned to the other side of the bed, making the bed dipped as she shifted. The lamp shone brightly, though the brightness couldn’t be seen from a far angle.

She could hear rustles in the bush and she heaved a sigh. It must be her father as her mother had said earlier.
