The Rising dead: Picking up the pices

Alan Murray was giving his wife for a second time, he was trying to stop himself, the tears, the memories and the shock but he held on to the skull of his dead wife.

The sight was understandable to Thomas and Elizabeth, even tho this was the first time in the Lady’s life she had ever seen a man show his grief or even cry.

Elizabeth gently tapped Thomas's arm letting him know it was okay to let go of her, and with empathy in her heart, she knelt beside him and placed her hand on his shoulder.

“This must be extremely hard for you Alan, I can't even…” she didn’t know what to say, the words would not come out of her.

Alan stopped sobbing but there was a quivering in him “I hurt…she was…I can’t…” his voice broke as he tried leaving the skull on the floor but still holding the locket in his hand.

“It wasn’t her Alan, just her…her remains…you have done nothing wrong, you saved us, the necromancer was using her body to kill us.” Elizabeth's words were helping a little but emotion had him
