Chapter 35

With a bit of frustration I grabbed Alex's BMW car keys and ran to the parking lot. Even though the pack house is usually visited by many werewolves, but this afternoon it felt very quiet. Worry made me hasten my steps.

"Luna!" Charmaine tried to follow me but she seemed to know that keeping me from going would be pointless.

We got in Alex's car and started driving. I'm thankful his car has a GPS system because I don't know the quickest way to the Ripper forest. Hell, if only I could turn into a werewolf then I could get there faster than using a car.

It took 20 minutes to reach the Ripper forest, when normally it takes 1.5 hours. We cut our way through Mr. Abernathy and exit directly at the fork into the Ripper forest. The sky outside was getting dark with the overcast weather, as if today's weather was trying to match my mood.

Charmaine gripped her seat belt tightly, panic on her face again when we arrived. I looked at him with some sympathy.

"You can stay in the car, Charmaine." I
