I couldn't stop thinking that I was meant to be there for Selena throughout her entire pregnancy and then be there for her when she gave birth to him as I stared at the photo of Selena's sister with the person I presumed to be Jr. If it weren't for my parents, I would have been there the entire time as I was supposed to be there for her. Everything I missed during her pregnancy—the first scan, the moment she began to show her baby belly, the first kicks, the moment she discovered she was having a boy, the moment she entered labor—all due to my parents.
