“That is the difference between you and me, Kail. While you were thinking of me for the past five years, I have been trying my best to forget you. Do you get it?”

At her determined words, Kail’s face turned to that of faint despair. But he was still glaring at her and he was clearly not giving up. Silje wiped the blood from her lips and raised her voice.

“So go back to Oslo! Go away, Kail! Don’t drag me back into your life. Don’t make me get involved with the Bruntland family again. I am sick of your family.”

After her angry outburst, silence fell. Kail looked at her with his empty eyes before replying slowly, “I’m sorry, but no.”

He put out his cigarette elegantly and continued, “I don’t care if Ingrid forced you to abort our baby or if you did it on your own. What is important is the fact that you left me. Well, I guess I don’t even care about that anymore at this point,&rdquo
