Chapter Fifty-five (Saraya's POV) present Time…

Even though Dane had warned me and painted the vivid horror of what to expect, I was still shocked at the graphic scene of it.

Humans were kept in a cage as if they were livestock and the werewolves were scattered about a bonfire, eating humans alive, having quite a feast.

There were children and women in the enclosure, even old and young men. I fought hard to keep the food in my belly down

It was the most horrific thing I have seen in my entire life – at least what I could remember.

And for a moment, I was glad of the oblivion certain whatever I may have witnessed on these grounds before most have haunted my dreams afterwards.

Dane and the rest seemed to have a way they dealt with this and I didn't want to interfere with their formation but the agonising cry coming from the left end of the grounds called to me.

Dane brought out an enormous sword and charged forward slaying and clearing his way to the cage until he stood in the space between the cage and the rest of the bea
