“I have always been a rebellious child. I often challenge the conventional way the coven was run. My actions were tolerable when my mother was alive,” she said, a frown furrowing my eyebrows.

“I didn’t know your mother was dead—” I said.

“You know her?!”

“I met her once. Assisted her in getting rid of a few bad eggs in my camp—” I said vaguely. Not wanting to paint me in some hero light. That has always made me feel uncomfortable.
