"You are the only one who has understood me; everyone I have told this to despises me instead. Thank God for you," she whispered to him while hugging him.

Ezra hesitated a little, finding a place to hold her that was not offensive, until he finally hugged her too. "It's going to be fine, I promise," he whispered to her.

After a few seconds, Juan raised her head, looking at his face once again.

"Ezra, since you are the only one who understands me, I believe you are the right person I can seek advice from on what to do now," Juan requested, gazing at him while Ezra silently waited to hear her complete her statement so he could understand where to begin and the type of advice she sought.

He sat quietly, listening to what she had to say.

"The truth is, from the day I first laid eyes on Aaron, I knew he was a monster," Juan said, leaving Ezra surprised.
