14. I don't know

Within minutes, the ties around her hands were loosened and her body was finally set free. Air rushed into her lungs like never before and she fell to the ground in exhaustion. She watched as the bruises around her wrists vanished under the dim light, taking away the physical pain caused by it. 

She instinctively looked at the two men that put her in this position, and somehow, watching them lay lifeless on the ground didn’t make her feel any better. If anything, she felt sick knowing she was the reason they were dead. 

She felt Jamie’s hands on her shoulder then, demanding her attention. As she looked up, she found his eyes running over her face in angst and she thought she detected new found concern in them.

“Jesus, look at you.” He said,
