Maj called out my name as I was about to enter the building we used as a hideout a few minutes after dropping Babe off at her apartment.
It wasn't my intention to leave her there alone but I didn't have a choice, Stanny had told me something urgent was awaiting my attention and I needed to be there.
"Maj, I thought you disappeared from the surface of the earth," I smirked.
"No, I didn't. You just stopped noticing me since Barbara Arnold walked into McVegas' high" she replied, giving me her famous sad look, the same one that makes guys vulnerable and weak.

Babe's POV A loud crashing sound resonated across the room and I stood up from the chair sharply. I took the TV remote control and reduced the volume of the movie that I was watching. If it was an action movie, I would've deduced that the noise was from the TV but I was watching a rom-com Korean series that didn't have any action scenes except for cuddlings and kisses. My heart skipped a beat as another crashing sound reverberated. I stood fixated, I was too scared to move. Then, a coughing fit and a string of curses followed in turn. I shrieked as a loud noise of horror found its way out my throat when a completely naked man walked out of the room opposite the living room.

Neither the man driving nor Hunter said anything to me.Hunter was right beside me at the back of the door. Hunter's POVThe door leading to our hideout was firmly locked up with a large padlock that I'd never seen in my entire life. The police had raided the area earlier this morning and after it had been discovered to be a hideout, all materials were confiscated and it was locked up."Arnold did this, right?" Babe's POVI almost died from fear as Hunter drove to Liam's place at high speed. I kept on screaming and yelling at him to drive slower but the dummy didn't listen, he kept on speeding as if he had an extra life under his fucking bed.By the time the car stopped, I opened the door to let in the fresh air and slumped so close to the floor.Dizziness had overshadowed me and I could barely see anything straight.
